School schedule is set up as follows:
 


Silversmithing

The beginner silversmith will work with copper and sterling silver to learn techniques including chasing, sawing, filing, soldering and polishing. Each student has the opportunity to complete a band ring, pair of earrings or pendant. Returning students who have satisfactorily completed the beginning course requirements may work on other projects with the approval of the instructors. Silver, extra copper and stones must be purchased, as needed, for each project at an additional fee. Students may be permitted to repeat classes provided their activity is consistent with regular class routine. Students must furnish their own basic tools or purchase them the first night of class.

 

 

   

Cutting & Polishing Stones

This class is designed for all levels of experience. Beginners will learn to cut and polish various shapes. Returning students who have satisfactorily completed the beginning course requirements may work on other projects with the approval of the instructors. Some material will be available for purchase. The fee includes a protective apron and stones.

 

     

Basic Wirewrapping

Create beautiful custom jewelry using wire, beads and cabochons. No solder, glue, fire, machinery or dangerous chemicals will be used. You will learn basic wire jewelry techniques including hand tool usage, wirewrap, use of wire jig, making components, adding beads and cabochons. You will create rings, chains, bracelets and earrings with and without stones or beads. Wire, stones and beads must be purchased, as needed, for each project at an additional fee. Students may be permitted to repeat classes and work on more advanced techniques provided their activity is consistent with regular class routine. Students must furnish their own basic tools (file, pliers, etc.) or purchase them the first night of class.
